Really, it's incredible stuff, and much cheaper than Silpat, so in the meantime, buy a roll of that- I had my roll for years and used it for much more than just baking. I need to buy more, asap.
Unwrapping the kisses is a huge job. well done, Janet! And yea- that makes sense that it would be a northern thing since we do have Hershey there... good point.kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18084959583705952635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6032111678527234789.post-6599193164381097652011-01-02T19:55:07.674-05:002011-01-02T19:55:07.674-05:00It might have been Janet's idea to put two Kis...It might have been Janet's idea to put two Kisses atop each cookie. Genius. One isn't enough even on the smaller version. Was this cookie just mainly popular in PA? I ask this because I do not know a single person to talk about them who isn't from there... I craved them myself this year and contemplated making them, but I also eat about half of what I make and seemed to be acquiring lots of goodies from others as it was, so I let go of my baking marathon...
You had something stick on parchment? I didn't know that was possible. You mentioned wax paper at first, but then said parchment, and I am sure that's what you used. I do know wax paper is a bad idea. I made a half batch of cookies this year- total. They were a double chocolate chunk, which I made on Christmas Eve. I ran out of parchment for half the cookies, but luckily, there was so much butter, they did not stick.
The note from your neighbor was so sweet, that rocks!kimberlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18084959583705952635noreply@blogger.com
